28 Ways to Reduce Anxiety Attacks

17. Ground yourself and breathe.

Feel your feet on the ground. If you think hard enough you can actually ground yourself, it makes you be in the present moment. If you think you can actually move from your toes all the way up to your head. While you are standing just feel your feet on the ground, feel how stable your body is on your feet. Breathing techniques can help you ground yourself as well. Check out this video on breathing, I always see tips on anxiety and people say that you have to breathe but they never explain it. This I found is awesome.

18. Do something with your hands.

Whether it is gardening, drawing, sewing, or hammering a nail, doing something productive with your hands will take your mind off of your anxiety and worry. Once your thoughts go from your brain to your hands, you have eliminated the worry. Anxiety treatment encourages exercise and playing sports. It is so good for you because it turns your mind off to all the things that make you anxious.
